25th April 2010

CodeZeroRacings Dean Russell raced at Silverstone on the national circuit today and qualified on pole position. He then went on to finish 2nd in race 1 and went one better and won race 2. Dean claimed his first race win on a dry overcast day in Northamptonshire which moves him upto 3rd in the Ducati Desmodue Championship.

20th April 2010

Preparations for round 2 at Silverstone on 25th April are going well and the bike issues from Brands Hatch seem to be resolved, only track time will tell.

6th April 2010

A chaotic first round at Brands Hatch saw Dean qualifiy 2nd on the grid in the rain only to experience a couple of technical difficulties during the race and finish 5ht and 7th, leaving him 6th in the Championship with 20 points. Shane struggled with a poor performing engine and leaky front forks but managed to bring the bike home in 21st and 20th in races 1 and 2 respectivly.

Shane took his bike down to Brands Hatch for a bit of testing on the Indy circuit, a track neither Shane or Dean have ridden on before. The weather was poor but valuable experience gained for Shane.

Dominic Clegg will be racing a ZXR400 in the Bemsee so wont be competing in this years Ducati Desmodue Championship but may be putting in an appearence at the meetings throughout the year. All the best for the Championship Dom.

Happy New year from the Code Zero Racing Team. With Shane Kenny and Dean Russell confirmed riders for the 2010 season the bikes are being prepped for the start of the Championship at Brands Hatch on easter weekend.

ROUND 9 - With the sun setting on the championship the final standing left Dominic Clegg in 3rd place, Dean Russell in 11th and Shane Kenny in 18th. Thank you to everyones support this year. Shane Kenny took 3rd place in the novice championship with Dean Russell taking 2nd place.

28th September 2009

ROUND 8 - With Dominic still having bike problems and unable to race and Shane unable to make the race it wa upto Dean Russell to fly the Code Zero flag. A close batle with Kev Ellis saw Dean highside on the last lap with the race being red flagged and declared a result. Undetered Dean fixed his bike and got back out for the second race despite his injuries and managed a respectable 8th place finish.

23rd August 2009

ROUND 7 - With Dominic having to sit this round out due to the damage his bike sustained during Round 6 it wasupto Shane and Dean to fly the Code Zero Flag. Shane got an 11th place in race 1 and a 14th in race 2. Dean had his best qualifying session of the year with an 8th place on the grid and finished race 1 in 6th place, his best finish to date. In the Novice Championship Dean took 2, 1st places to move him into 2nd in the Action Alarm Novice Championship. The next round will be at Pembrey, South Wales on 27th September 2009.

3rd August 2009

ROUND 6 - Mixed emotions at the latest round of the championship. In an eventful first race which saw 3 red flags and several riders taken to the medical centre. One of those riders being Dominic Clegg who then had to miss the rest of the day with bruise ribs and a destroyed bike. Shane and Dean both got into the points on a hot afternoon in Lincolnshire.

19th July 2009

ROUND 5 - At Oulton park Dominic take 2 second places and with Dean crashing out of the first race and finishing 11th in the second race and Shane strugglnig to regain his form after a fast crash on the test day before the weekend.

21st June 2009

ROUND 4 - Not the best round of the season so far. Dominic qualified on pole position, Dean in 20th and Shane in 25th. Dominic lost the bike under breaking in the bus stop (a bend which claimed 5 bikes over the weekend) Dean came in 18th and Shane 21st. In the second race Dominic just couldn't get past Sam West and had to settle for second, Dean got up to 12th and Shane up to 16th.

Testing at Mallory Park in the wet, all 3 riders kept the bikes sunny side up and got in some good wet practice

Dominic and Shane will be on track at Cadwell Park on 16th June 2009 with friend Lee on his CBR600.

21st May 2009

ROUND 4 - A difficult weekend for Shane and Dean adjusting to a new track but Dominic went back to the top of the DesmoDue Championship with 1 2nd place and 1 1st place. Dean slipped to 11th and Shane is joint 15th.

NOVICE CHAMPIONSHIP - Shane jumped upto 2nd in the novice championship while Dean is 4th

10th May 2009

ROUND 3 - A good weekend down at Angelsey for round 2. Dominic took 2nd place in both races while Shane and Dean both came off in the tricky wet conditions in qualifying having to settle for 14th (Shane) and 17th (Dean) on the grid. Shane finished 15th in race 1 and 14th in race 2. Dean finished 13th in race 1 and 7th in race 2.

2 of the 3 riders are now fully sponsored but Dean Russells current sponsor is not in a position to continue sponsoring him this season. In this years Ducati DesmoDue Championship any competitor who has never had a race licence before Janueary 2009 can enter the Action Alarm Novice Championship. Shane and Dean are both in the running for this trophy with Shane currently 2nd and Dean in 3rd.

What a weekend! Congratulations to Dominic who finished 2nd in race 1 and 1st in race 2. Dominic is leading the championship as we head to Angelsey for Round 2 on 9th May 2009. Shane finished 14th in race 1 and 8th in race 2 and Dean finished 11th in race 1 and 9th in race 2. There was drama before and during the races for both Shane and Dean and special thanks to Duncan and Greg Gibson for fixing Shanes bike seconds before Race 2.

All 3 riders confirmed by the race organisers as competing next week at Donington Park. The team will be in garage 24 all weekend.

also racing over the weekend is the GSX-R cup and the Motosix championship. Lots of racing to be watched all weekend and a weekend ticket costs just £18 (Saturday £6 and Sunday £12).

Code Zero Racing will be on track on Saturday at 11:05 for 20 minutes timed qualifying, then again at 17:00 for our first race of the season. On Sunday Code Zero will be on track at 17:35 for race 2.

Many thanks to Ray Jude (Yorkshire Reginal Organiser for Ducati Sporting Club) who has provided the team with some Castrol SRF brake fluid. Some say its the best brake fluid in the world. Only 17 days to the first race at Donington Park.

All 3 Code Zero Racing riders attended a no limits track day at Donington Park to prepare for the first round of the championship. Dominic was hot on the pace and attempting a new lap record also breaking the 2 minute barrier while Dean and Shane both got respectable times for the first practice session of the year.

The first test for Shanes new ducati race bike at a track day at Cadwell Park. All went well apart from a lengthy tire change in the morning a cold day in Lincolnshire ran smoothly. Check out some of the photos of the team in the gallery.
